Simple process
From message to preserved keepsake
Dear Future is designed to feel simple for the customer. You write the message, pay by card, and receive the proof and recovery details once preservation is complete.

Write your message
Write a note, letter, memory, blessing, tribute, or private message. Add the title, recipient, author, occasion, dedication, and the words you want to preserve.

Choose how it should be revealed
Choose whether your message should stay private, be public, or be time-locked until a future date.

Review it carefully
Before payment, check your wording. Once a message is preserved, it should be treated as final.

Pay securely by card
You do not need a crypto wallet, seed phrase, exchange account, or technical setup. Dear Future handles the preservation process for you.

Your message is queued
After payment, your message is queued for preservation. During beta, paid messages are usually preserved within 24 hours.

You receive confirmation emails
You receive an email when payment is received, and another email once preservation is complete.

Your receipt is updated
Your private receipt page shows the status of your message. Once complete, it includes your proof, recovery kit, certificate, and verification link.

Save your recovery kit
Your recovery kit is your private backup. Keep it safe and do not share your recovery key.

Verify or recover later
You can use the verification page to check the record later. If needed, the standalone Recovery Reader can help recover the message from your saved recovery kit.

Recovery kit
A private backup file for safekeeping. It can help recover the message outside your account.
Certificate
A printable Certificate of Preservation for your records.
Verification page
A safe page that can show the message was preserved without revealing your private message.
Important before preserving
Dear Future is built around long-term preservation. Please review your message carefully before paying. Once a message is successfully preserved, it should be treated as final.
No wallet required
Dear Future is made for normal users. You pay by card and receive your receipt without managing crypto tools yourself.
Beta processing
During beta, paid messages are usually preserved within 24 hours. If a paid preservation does not complete, we will either complete it manually or refund you.
Keep your kit private
Your recovery kit and recovery key are sensitive. Anyone with the right recovery details may be able to recover your message outside Dear Future.
Verification and recovery
Your receipt is not just a payment confirmation. It gives you proof details, a certificate, a recovery kit, and a verification link. The public verification page can help show that the message was preserved without revealing your private message.
Standalone Recovery Reader
The standalone Recovery Reader is hosted separately from the main Dear Future app. It is designed to help recover a preserved message using your recovery kit and recovery key, even if the main Dear Future website is unavailable.
